1. Deny access. 2. Delete or 3. Quarantine. What will these actions do. Will any file will be deleted in the process or the action will be taken only on the virus detected. Whcih action will be the best.
Chosen Answer:
1. Deny Access – Prevents any program from accessing or opening the infected file.
2. Delete – Deletes/Removes the infected file permanently form your computer.
3. Quarantine – Removes the file in current folder and stores the infected file in a safe storage where it cannot run and be activated.
The action will be taken only to the file that has been detected as a virus. However, if you delete a virus inside an archive, most likely, the whole archive will also be deleted. The best thing for you to do if Avira detected a virus is to quarantine it, because it will be placed in the quarantine and not permanently removed, so you can restore it if you think that the file is good. This is good for back-up purposes and after all not all detected by Avira are viruses, they might be false positives, so its safer to quarantine the file rather than deleting it.
